I know during the pandemic all the clubs and gyms are still shut down, but transitioning into a home regimen can be seamless..with the right equipment! Of course with all the workout equipment and exercises available, it's certainly easy to get overwhelmed. So after research and due diligence, we here at ReRun fitness have compiled the the Essentials for your home gym and after reading you should feel secure and confidence in building and designing your dream home gym!

1. Treadmill

Cardio is essential to a full body workout and also in maintaining good heart health. Having a Treadmill is an essential for a quality home gym. You should always have a balance between cardio and strength training workouts. Having a treadmill is simple way of getting your cardio in before your strength training or vice versa. And its statistically proven that you burn almost 5x more calories per hour than bike, swimming or jumping rope. Whether it's for a warm ups, burn outs or cool downs; simply being able to run off calories at moments notice is a real convenience in the long run.

2. Kettle Bells

If you want an implement for an all-around workout, you're going to want at least one kettlebell. From goblet squats to swings, you can get a ton of work in within a limited amount of space. This soft-yet-powerful one is even safe for your home floors if you drop it.

3. Medicine Ball

Strength and conditioning as well as HIIT training has become very popular in the last couple of decades and for good reason. Even though we didn't put Squat Racks on the List does not mean that Power Towers are not. Like the Power Cage the are highly functional and versatile. for pullups, chinups, dips, and all the other exercises you can pull off from a hanging position. Should support up to 400 pounds.

This goes without saying but you can really bench press without a bench let alone other exercises. Which is why having a versatile adjustable bench is another essential

Again, it will be rather difficult to perform bench presses, squats, dead lifts etc without a barbell and some plates. So they will most definitely come in handy. ( Hint: Bench press, Squats, and dead lifts are foundational strength training workouts that increase power and explosion) .
